Musique et environnement: lieu, contexte et conjoncture--Conférence annuelle de la section canadienne de l'IASPM, École de musique Schulich, Université McGill, Montréal, du 16 au 19 juin 2011

Friday Night:                                                                                                                                     Come out to Il Motore on Friday, June 17th for an evening of music and sounds including live performances by Music and Environment conference participants.  Doors open at 7:30pm.

Il Motore is located at 179 Jean Talon West. Check the map for directions.

This evening will feature an array of artists that reflect the diversity of the Montreal music scene, including performances by Sam Thulin and The Wilderness (guitar, keyboards, vocals and drums), Clara Furey and Owen Chapman (keyboards, voice and assorted electronic instruments) and DJ Claire (minimal techno grooviness).

The evening will begin with special media presentations by conference participants, linked to the papers that they will be presenting during the daytime sessions. Participants include Michael Drews, Andra McCartney, Randolph Jordan, Sam Thulin, and Rae Staseson (with Owen Chapman).

Tickets:                                                                                                                                                             If you are a registered delegate (presenting or non-presenting), tickets are free. You can pick your tickets up at the registration desk when you check in at the conference.  As this event is open to the public, you will  definitely need your ticket to get in.

If you are not a registered conference delegate tickets are $10 and will be available at the door.

Vendredi soir:                                                                                                                                   Venez au Il Motore, le vendredi 17 juin, assister à une soirée de musique et de sons, avec les performances de participants à la conférence Musique et environnement. Les portes ouvrent à 19 h 30.

Il Motore est situé au 179, rue Jean-Talon Ouest. Consultez la carte pour les indications.

Cette soirée sera l'occasion d'entendre une foule d'artistes reflétant la diversité de la scène musicale montréalaise, avec entre autres Sam Thulin & The Wilderness (guitare, clavier, voix et batterie), Clara Furey et Owen Chapman (synthétiseur, voix et instruments électroniques variés) et DJ Claire (techno minimale).

La soirée commencera par des présentations médiatiques spéciales de participants à la conférence, en lien avec les travaux qu'ils présenteront pendant la journée. Ces participants sont entre autres Michael Drews, Andra McCartney, Randolph Jordan, Sam Thulin et Rae Staseson (avec Owen Chapman).

Billets pour l'événement du vendredi soir :
Si vous êtes l'un(e) des participants enregistrés, votre billet est gratuit, que vous présentiez ou non. Vous pouvez obtenir votre billet au comptoir d'enregistrement à votre arrivée à la conférence. Comme cet événement est ouvert au public, il vous faudra ce billet pour entrer.

Si vous n'êtes pas parmi les participants enregistrés, les billets seront disponibles à la porte, au coût de 10 $.
